Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs Chicken thighs are recommended for more flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use more if you love garlic!
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ground paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt Can use plain Greek yogurt or regular.
  • 1 Juice of 1 lemon

For Serving

  • Pita bread or flatbreads Choose your favorite type.
  • Chopped vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions) For a fresh topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, salt, pepper, olive oil, yogurt, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  • Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  • Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken in pita bread or flatbreads with chopped vegetables and drizzle with additional garlic sauce if desired.

Notes

Marinating the chicken overnight enhances flavor. If yogurt tastes weird, throw it out. Don't overcrowd the pan.
