  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Freshness is key.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust for personal taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil You can use any healthy fat.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Do not use half and half.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Homemade is preferred, but boxed works too.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Essential for flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Provides aromatic flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste To enhance the overall flavor.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish For a fresh finishing touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  • Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese to the skillet; toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Feel free to add veggies such as spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms during the garlic sauté step. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
