  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Can substitute with olive oil.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and melted butter.
  • Season halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  • Dip each fillet into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  • Place the coated fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over the fillets.

Cooking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Pat fillets dry before seasoning to ensure coating sticks. For extra crisp, broil 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely. Cool the fish to room temperature for no more than two hours before storing.
