  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack) Use as desired for creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to taste.
  • as needed Tortilla chips or tortillas (for layering) Use tortilla chips for crunch or tortillas for a softer base.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, salsa verde, black beans, corn, half of the cheese, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a baking dish, layer tortilla chips or tortillas on the bottom.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the chips.
  • Top with the remaining cheese.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

For a creamier dish, consider adding a dollop of Greek yogurt when serving. Adjust cooking times as needed if preparing ahead of time.
