Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 packages Lil’ Smokies sausages (14 oz each)
  • 1 cup brown sugar Pack it, don’t spoon.
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks Can be fresh or canned.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Whisk together brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic, onion, and seasonings until smooth.
  • Add sausages to slow cooker and pour glaze over them.
  • Stir in pineapple chunks for texture and flavor.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours or High for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve warm with toothpicks for easy snacking.

Notes

Do not walk away and forget them for eight hours. If the glaze seems thin at the end, lift the lid and let it thicken a little; do not let it sit too long. For less sweetness, consider removing half the glaze.
