  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces Look for quality beef from a local butcher.
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved These add great texture.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Provides richness.
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced The star of the dish!
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup beef broth For added flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley For garnish.
  • 1 spray Cooking spray To coat the slow cooker.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • Place the beef stew meat and halved baby potatoes into the slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  • Pour the garlic butter mixture over the beef and potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • In another small bowl, mix together beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Pour this liquid mixture over the beef and potatoes in the slow cooker.
  • Gently stir everything to combine.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
  • Before serving, stir in the chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve with crusty bread to enjoy the garlic-butter sauce. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
